Tranchell Tour De Whiting

We didn't have anything really planned for the 24th of July. I knew Justin needed to study and we really needed to weed the garden. We found out that irrigation was coming the night before so we wouldn't be able to weed. So I suggested that it was finally time to conquer the dreaded HILL!!!!! A few years ago Justin took us on a bike ride up Whiting's Campground. I hated the whole experience and ended up walking my bike up most of the time. Anytime Justin suggests going on a bike ride he suggests there. I always give him the look so he was Shocked when I suggested that we try Whiting's Campground again for the 24th of July. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I decided to go running first with my friend Christy who is moving next week to Louisana. Wrong Choice! We left around 8:30 and got home around 11:00. It is about a 14 mile ride. This is a picture of the top of the first hill! Which in my opinion is the hardest. Being proud of Allie is an understatment. I still couldn't make it up the hills without walking but Miss Allie made it up each hill and was the first to make it to the top of each hill. She is incredible and I hope one day that she and her dad can do a Triathlon or a bike race together. Hills Allie conquered today!! So we celebrate the Pioneer children who walked and walked and walked by the Tranchell children biking and biking and biking. We made it to the TOP!!! On the way down! The best and only great part of Whiting's Campground bike ride is the ride down. It is incredible and so enjoyable. Allie and Aubrie just flew down the mountain. The Tranchells new bike trick!

S'more Fun with Papa

Papa invited us over to make S'mores last Sunday night. The girls loved getting all the attention from Papa. It was fun even if it was 90 degrees outside. Papa has made a really great firepit in their backyard. Aubrie getting some help from Dad Allie roasting her marshmallow

Freedom Festival Forty-five Mile Fun Ride

Today was the day anticipated by all!!!! It's almost as great as Christmas!!!!! Today we rode our bikes over to Provo to watch the Hot Air Balloons launch for the Freedom Festival and then up the Provo River Trail to Bridal Veil Falls and end the route at Vivan Park. All in all it is about a 45 mile bike ride. It is an Early to Rise morning as we have to leave by 5:00 to get there in time for the Balloons. We didn't know if Aubrie would make it this year but I am proud to say with some pushes from her Dad she rode the full 45 miles. Yes, she is pretty amazing. This is Allie's third time over and I couldn't be any less pleased at her amazing attitude and determination to get where she is going. We stop several times along the way so it actually is a full days ride. At Bridal Veil Falls. I am a PARANOID mom when it comes to water. I thought their bike helmets would save them if they fell in. LOL. I wish I thought about those things, like take off your helmet. Notice again at lunch! Lunch at Vivan Park. There is a Subway at the base of the Canyon that we stopped at and picked up Sandwiches. It was a great place for a potty break to since all of our other stops were at Port a Pottys. I didn't realize Justin was chewing when I said Lets take our picture. He almost looks happy.

4th of July

What a great Holiday weekend. I love three day weekends. Good food, good family and friends, good times. This 4th of July fell on a Sunday. I have always felt grateful for the men and women who serve our country but didn't really know anyone personally that had been to war. One of our ward members is in the National Guard recently came home from Afghanistan and will return there again soon. He wore his uniform to church yesterday. When I saw him a deep sense of gratitude came over me. He also had to help pass the Sacrament and again I felt such a deep gratitude of how great of a man he really is and how there are so many other men and women who serve are country so that we can have the freedoms in the United States of America. I am truly grateful for all those who serve and have served and will serve our country to keep us free. The girls and I made some 4th of July decorations for our door. I love to celebrate with the girls. We also had a BBQ with Justin's family. We brought SNAPS for the kids to throw. It was a simple activity but fun for the kids.

3rd of July

On Saturday we decided to have a family BBQ with my family and then go watch the fireworks. I always forget to take pictures of dinners. I think I love food too much and instead of wanting to be able to remember what we ate and who was there I just want to eat. We had a lot of fun at the fireworks. We sat on a hill up by the Y. The girls had a ball with their Aunts and Uncle who decided to be silly with them and slide down the hill before the fireworks start. I am sure Grandma was there in the moment. She always did like to slide down the stairs on a mattress. We also bought glow-n-dark sticks for the kids. They are pretty creative and decided to make glasses with them. ELLEE LARALYNN AUBRIE ALLIE JAG Our poor daddy. There are two positions you find him these days. One is sleeping holding a book and the other is when he finally gives in and just sleeps. This is the effects of too many late nights study information into his "CAPUT" (ANATOMY)

LEHI RODEO

Aunt Tine invited us to go to the Lehi Rodeo in June. Justin didn't come with us since he had his first night lab of Anatomy and had class early the next morning too. We went over for dinner at Tine's first and then went to the Rodeo. This was Aubrie's first time and Allie's first time was when she was less than a year old. It was a lot of fun. Aubrie wanted sooooo bad to sit by Maama during the Rodeo. I was so glad that she was able to sit by her and experience the excitement of the night with her Maama. Maama and three of her girls! The Rodeo Queens were throwing out things in the audience. Allie was so excited she caught a T-shirt. I looked down and saw this scene and couldn't resist taking a picture. Besides the fact that Xander and Papa are best buds it brought back fun memories. I use to love to play with my Grandpa. My mom even bought me boots so I could go ride the tractor with Grandpa. Although, I would call them my cowgirl boots.

Another Fishing Day

Papa took Justin and the girls and Aunt Tine's family to Schofield to go fishing. Allie was so excited she finally caught a fish. Aubrie and her Fish I had Justin take the camera with him since I had to work. When I got home from work I walked over to the Tranchells for dinner and this is what I found when I got there. The end of a great day. What's for dinner???? THANKS PAPA!!!!

My little Conquerer

This summer Allie has a been conquering hills on her bike all over Springville. This is a picture of what we call The NOYES Hill. Aunt Tine and Uncle Clint used to live really close to this hill so we named it after them. She has also conquered Center Street and the golf course hill (up Hobble Creek Canyon). She is trying to conquer 4th North. She makes it three quarters of the way up and then her foot slips. She is pretty determined so I won't be surprised if she conquers it by the end of the summer.
