Breakfast in Bed

This morning I woke up to Aubrie in my bedroom telling me I couldn't get up yet. I decided to lay there for a while but knew we would be late for church if I didn't get up and I had to go to the bathroom! So I got up and went out of my room to hear the girls both say "You can't get up yet." I told them I had to go to the bathroom. When I got out of the bathroom I saw this tray sitting on the table! They are best!! I love when they do little surprises like this. Aubrie has been learning to cook eggs. She loves to make omlets and flip them. Today she made me scrambled. I also got a bowl of cereal, orange juice and a granola bar with a side of valentine conversation hearts that have to be at least a year old.
My sweet note read I hope you in joy your breakfast in bed mom.
While I was eating they decided to make Justin breakfast since he was still sleeping. Allie made his eggs. He also got cereal, oatmeal, orange juice, pudding and a side of licorice and a sucker.
Allie was trying to be clever with her note so she said "Licorice Away, I hope you in joy your breakfast. I think she got a little timid with her poem because she said Oh maybe I should not write that. I am glad she did, it made it super cute!!

What a fun Sunday morning surprise!!

All about TaylieJo

Since I don't keep a journal I wanted to keep track of some milestones of Taylie. She has still not learned to sleep through the night but usually only wakes up once. Taylie first word was DaDa. I don't think she knew she was saying Dad but she would jabber that a lot. She then learned to say Mom,Mom,Mom and she would usually always say it in threes. It was really cute. She has just started saying papapapapa. She doesn't say Mom much anymore but loves to say dadada. She has loved all the foods we have given her. She loves to put everything in her mouth!!!! She loves to smile and squeal. She loves her sisters. She giggles when you blow on her tummy. We have taken her swimming three times and loves the water even going under water at the very end. She loves to shower with her dad. She plays really well by herself. She sits up by herself in the grocery cart. She cries a lot but those times are becoming a little less. BUT we love her!!!

STAND

Can you believe it she is standing? Taylie has been pulling herself up to things right after Christmas. She has taken a few steps holding her little standing toy and she will walk with while holding her hands. She will be running before we know it!

Christmas Morning

We told Justin's parents to come over to watch the girls open presents at 7:00. Little TaylieJo decided that she wanted to wake up just after Santa had come. She did not want to go back to sleep and was up til 3:30. Around 4:00 I fell asleep on the couch waiting for the computer to scan the Christmas movie that I make for the Tranchells Christmas party. I heard a knock on the door at 7:00. I jumped up!!! It took me a minute to realize that I had fallen asleep and it was morning. Justin woke up and came in. We went to wake up the girls and they were so tired it took them a few minutes to realize that it was Christmas Morning. I had to sing Rise and Shout to them. We always make the girls brush their teeth so that we can turn on the Christmas tree lights and get the camera ready. Here are the girls sitting in the hall waiting to for us to say to come in. Santa always brings the girl one present and their stocking stuff. We had to wake up Taylie and she was a little unsure of what to do. She will be a blast next year I am sure. She sat on her present and pulled the paper. She got a box of diapers. Allie got a MP3 player which when she first opened it she said "It's an IPOD!" Aubrie got a Barbie WaterPark. The next present the girls opened was something I was so excited about and had so much fun making. The girls love to play school. They love to play that they are the teacher so I started making things for an interchangable board. When Justin got done with school we made a frame for it. Orginally I bought the magnetic paint for a piece of MDF but we ended up buying a piece of sheet metal because the paint didn't hold very well. Justin made a great frame. I also wanted frames for a cork board and a frame for three white boards. Justin got sick after we finished making candy which was when he was going to finish the frames. I was so sad and not very nice because this meant so much to me. I went Christmas Eve morning to pick up the sheet metal frame and tried to be ok with knowing that we would finish it later. Justin's dad was so kind to finish the frames for me. He dropped them off that afternoon so I could finish the board. Words can not express my gratitude for Dave coming to my rescue. I had worked so hard on this and I just wanted it to be the way I had visioned. He gave me the best Christmas gift ever. I also got the girls teacher bags and filled them with teacher stuff. It also had a file box with the interchangeable things and worksheets. It was so fun for me as they opened it and said "Wow, thanks mom!" I also made them a paint box. They have their own brushes, paint and cups. Allie with her glow board. I love deals. I got it for $7.99 it was orginally $32.99. Aubrie with her ZhuZhu pet. Aubrie with her shoes. The girls were so excited they thought they got sketchers but they were the very very very cheap knock off brand.

Ostler Christmas Candy Day

We use to celebrate Christmas with my mom. Each year she would buy us each our own ornament. We decided to make candy one year. My mom went into the hospital a few days before and passed away 12 days later. I decided I wanted to carry on the tradition of getting together and so I decided to have my family over to make candy each year since then. One year Laralynn surprised us with recipe books that she had made and also ones with the recipes of my mom's and both grandma's. Then Steve surprised us with buying us each an ornament. So we decided to draw names the next year and started buying each other ornaments. Not everyone loves to bake so they are invited to bring other things to do. It is kind of a come and go as you want party. We usually eat lunch and then exchange ornaments. So I didn't take any pictures of the yummy treats but took pictures of those making them. Last year I did pictures of the candy. Maybe next year I will be on top fo it and get both. Ellee. Sam Stirring. Laralynn, Aubrie and Ellee learning how to make red velvet mini trees. Allie and Brett playing the Wii. Taylie playing with her toys while everyone was cooking. Justin making his yummy caramels. Karalee making pretzel presents. Laralynn and Aubrie cooking. Lisa and Aubrie making cheese balls. Jag decorating cookies with Sam. This year Lisa's family had us. Taylie's ornament was a cute little pink dog holding a candy cane that Lisa made with her name on it. Allie's ornament was a cerulean butterfly with added sequins with her name on it. Allie's favorite color is cerulean. Justin's ornament was a school sign that Lisa made. Aubrie's ornament was awesome. Aubrie loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Lisa made a sign a while ago for a customer with Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I told Lisa how much Aubrie loved them. She called Aubrie in to see the sign and Aubrie thought it was for her. Lisa had to explain that it was for someone else. Aubrie still asks her if she has made her sign yet. So for Aubrie's ornament Lisa made Jake. Of course you want to shake your child when she says where are the other pirates. There is so much detail it is amazing. Thank you Lisa. I forgot to give my camera to Justin but my ornament was the best. Lisa knows how much I love to watch BYU football. She made me a football with a Y on it.

Sister Fun

Aubrie gets to spend extra time with Taylie each morning before school. I am always finding things like this. Aubrie likes to pretend she is her baby. Taylie is usually pretty good nature to let her be the mom.

Taylie learns to wave

Taylie has been learning to wave. She usually brings her hands towards herself and then waves. She is getting to big!!

Christmas Corner

I thought I would do one entry of Christmas Corner. These are the projects we did this year. We made these fun match box advent calendars. Inside each box was a service that the girls had to do each day. They were things like make your sister's bed, write your teacher a thank you note, call someone on the phone and tell them you love them, do three things without being asked, unload the dishwasher and read a story to your sister. This was so much fun as the girls tried to keep what they were doing a secret. We made pasta snowflakes. We made layered Christmas Tree cards with sponges and paint. The girls liked this one. We made Santa's Hats. We make Snowman Bars. We made Snowman Girls. We made Blue Button Snowflakes. We made candy canes and stocking lacing cards We made pom pom trees We watched Ellee, Jag and Sam one day so we made Christmas Tree Cones. We did not do as many as we have in other years but we had a great year of Christmas Corner.
