Christmas Corner Day 23
As this ends the Christmas Corner blogging, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas!! Today we made our treat for Santa and Allie wrote him a letter. It's amazing how we went from a blank wall to an art gallery. When I told Allie this was our last project she said but mom can't we have Christmas Corner everyday. I guess that's what makes Christmas magical is that it is only once a year.
Christmas Corner Day 22
Just one more day til Christmas Corner is done. We've had a lot of fun and I am grateful that I played with my girls every morning. I think I did it more for me then them. It was really important for me this year to not be "CRAZY BUSY". I'm not sure I wasn't less "CRAZY BUSY" but I really enjoyed the time with my girls and look forward to preparing for next year.
Today we had Aiden and Chloe again we make stockings!!

Christmas Corner Day 18
This morning instead of making a project which I would have rather the girls convinced me of going out and playing in the snow. It turned out to be a lot of fun. We don't have sleds so we came up with our version. (The Law of Substitution and Creativity.) We used our shovel and pushed the girls on it. It was fun!!!

Today my family came and made Christmas Candy. This is the second year we have made candy. I first learned how to make candy from my father-in-law. I still remember making fudge for the first time (at least that I can remember) when I was 21 and married. When Justin and I were first married it was a holiday tradition I loved with the Tranchell's. Last year, we decided at Thanksgiving that we were going to make Christmas Candy with my mom the first week in December. Mom went into the hospital just a few days before we were suppose to make candy. My family decided that we wanted to do make candy again and that it was fun tradition to start. Aunt Karalee and Uncle Brett bought the kids gingerbread houses to make. Aunt Karalee also took lots of pictures with her great camera. I mananage to only get two and that was after everyone left and I realized I wanted to put this on Christmas Corner. So this whole long story was to tell you that todays project for Christmas Corner was making candy.

Today's project was almost a catastrophe, I couldn't get the glue to stick but it finally worked and as you know my kids weren't to happy with waiting for it to dry before decorating. While Aubrie was waiting for her star to dry she made a project with popsicle sticks. I'm not sure what to call it but I was proud of her artistic ability. In the end it turned out to be a lot of fun and the girls enjoyed gluing jems on their star. We also tried learning Stars were Gleaming. Allie did great while Aubrie just sat there. When we got done Aubrie suggested we sing I am like a star shining brightly. I wanted to tell her that I wished that she would shine brightly and sing a song I was trying to teach her but instead smiled and said of course Aubrie lets sing I am a like a star shining brightly. I am grateful to be a mom so I can laugh and cry in the same moment.
