GOOFY
As soon as you walk in, there are Disney characters waiting for you to take their pictures and get their autograph. The lines quickly formed and so we ofted to just get GOOFY's and head into the park. The girls loved GOOFY. It kind of fit our family. We are a little goofy but the girls loved it! Looking back I wish we would have taken another day so we could get pictures with the charcters. The girls are at the perfect age that they would have loved each one of them.

Goofy used Allie's head to sign her book! She thought it was sure "GOOFY"
Even Justin got into the fun by Goofy using his head!

You can see Justin bursting with excitement to be at DISNEYLAND!
DISNEYLAND OR BUST
Even though the girls were extremely tired when we woke them up at 6:30 to get ready and eat breakfast, they quickly arose and got ready. Who wouldn't we were on our way to DISNEYLAND!!! After we ate breakfast, we walked down the street to a nearby Subway to get sandwiches for Lunch and Dinner at Disneyland. We decided to bring our lunch in on Thursday and eat at the Park on Friday. The shuttle left the hotel at 8:30 and we were so excited to get to DISNEYLAND!
Waiting for Dad to finish getting ready!
Riding on the Shuttle. It was about 15 minutes from the hotel to Disneyland. They dropped us right at the front and so there was little walking but don't worry we got our fair share of walking around the park.

So glad that we've learned to look at the camera. Of course, you can't sit and take more pictures, Dad was really excited to get in and get going!
Disneyland Here we are!

Our Airplane
I was a little worried about Aubrie's first airplane ride, but the one I should have been worried about was Allie. From the moment we sat down Aubrie just wanted to know when they were going to bring her a drink. Allie got really scared that we were going to crash after the stewardess explained what to do in an emergency. All in all it was a good flight and if you can find a good deal, FLY!!
BORN TO FLY!
Back to Reality
As I gathered the mail and went through the door, I realized no more fresh towels on the shelf, no one to make my bed, no more chauffer, no cook and it's time to start paying the bills! Even though it's hard to come home, I decided to ask Justin when I could talk him into going again he said when our youngest is 5 so it looks like Sept 14, 2010 we will be going again!!! We had a great time and can't wait to share some pictures of our days at Disneyland.
Who'd have ever thought?
It's HERE! Can you believe it? It is still a little unreal. We made it no more days to count down! Justin woke up the girls this morning yelling "It's today, it's today we are going to Disneyland today" Half opened eyes they jumped into his excitement. I was thrilled. Justin hasn't always been excited about me planning this trip but I truly am grateful that he found his JOY!!! even if it is only for me! Can't wait to post when we come back. And for those of you who haven't been and wonder if you will ever go. I am living proof that
"When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true"!
Easter at the Barton's
When my mom died, Lisa decided to take on the Easter Tradition and host our family Easter Party. My mom always hid our baskets and we would have to search the house for them. I think she got the tradition from her mom because I remember Grandma Hatfield alway hid a chocolate bunny for each of the grandkids. After you found one you could search for more but you could never tell anyone esle where they were hiding. My mom had so much fun hiding her son-in-laws baskets. As most of us can remember she hid Taun's basket in a flour bucket by emptying all the flour into other containers. Why would anyone look in the flour bucket? My mom was always clever like that. This year, Lisa let the kids hide their parents and the parents got to hide the kids. We had a lot of fun! Thanks Lisa for keeping mom alive!

Easter Egg Hunt Begins
The last two years, the Easter Bunny has left a treasure hunt for Allie and Aubrie to find their Easter Baskets. They woke up and found this basket with a note and a Easter Egg with a clue inside. The Easter Bunny found out that we were going to Disneyland and gave the girls somethings that they needed for their trip.
This is the girls looking for their clues.
Why does Daddy always have to be sick for Holidays :(

Family Photo
Justin and I have tried to take a half a dozen family photos with one of us trying to take the picture. I always love how many times it takes us to get a picture where we are all looking and all in the picture.

Take Three
Still not the best picture but you get what you get and you don't throw a fit!

Interrupting Dreams
The last two nights, I have had some crazy dreams!!! The first night, I went to an exercise class. I kept going back and the instructor didn't really like me or was just being a real good personal trainer. Anyway, as the class began the instructor said as we were stretching, "And we sure hope that Jan Tranchell has bought herself a new pair of pants that doesn't have holes in it." I woke up thinking that was strange. I found the pair of blue sweats and sure enough there are 3 holes along the inseam. I think after today I will try to get rid of them but they are just so comfortable to hang out in so maybe I just won't wear them to exercise in.
Any ideas of what it means?
Last night, I was driving down University Parkway from the Mall area to Albertsons. My mom was with me and it was late at night. I was really tired and my mom kept asking me if I was ok. I said Yes, I'm fine. Then I started to doze off there were cones everywhere and I was trying to stay in the lines. My mom started to ask again if I was ok and I said Yes and then she said, "Jan, I don't think you are awake?" I tried to argue with her while trying to dodge cones and I finally said, Yea, mom I don't think I'm awake. I began to hit one of the cones and repeated to myself, "I don't think I'm awake", "I don't think I am awake". Then I woke up and thought I am awake now!
CRAZY DREAMS! I love when I dream about my mom though. I just wish it didn't always have to be so quick. It feels like I finally recognize it's her and then I get startled and wake up.
