Girls Weekend

Justin went with his dad to Nevada for two weekends in February. I decided to plan a fun girls weekend.

We had a lot fo fun. I am so grateful to have girls!!! I created an itinerary for the us to follow.
Friday we started the night by running.
We made a goal this year to run a 5K in April. (This was NOT the girl's favorite part but since mom likes to eat it was probably a good thing.) We then made subs and packed in a brown bag to eat while we watched a movie.

I also had popcorn, M and M's and licorice in brown bags. We brought out the girls mattresses so they could sleep out in the livingroom. We watched Ramona and Beezus. The girls liked it, it reminded me a lot of the girls.

Saturday morning we woke up and did our running and ate breakfast.
We made omlets, strawberries and toast with orange juice.

We then got showered and headed to the hair salon for hairdo's, pedicures and manicures.

Allie learning to curl her own hair.

Allie curling Aubrie's hair under.

Aubrie straighting Mom's hair.

Aubrie cleaning her pedicure.

We then went to the Art Studio for an art project.

We then headed to the science lab. We did a three experiments. Does it float or sink? Can you get an egg to float? Does it dissolve?

Then we attempted to make ice crystals. We will have to try that one again.

We had lunch next. The girls love Lunchables so we made homemade lunchables with their Valentine Muffin Tins.

We went to the dance studio next. Allie tried to teach us the line dance for Do,Re,Mi and I showed her the country line dance to the Race is on by Sawyer Brown.

Next we went to game center where we played a little Wii, card and board games and ate dinner.

We ended the night with homemade Ice Cream Sundaes.  Don't worry Tay soon you will more than your bottle!

Allie's School Program

Allie had her 3rd grade program the other night. She was so cute about it. The program was about the United States of America. She loves to sing and she did so great on her part. She had it memorized after the second day.

Catch Up Again.....

At least we are still in February. I just wanted to post about the rest of Valentines.

The girls got another Valentine game. This time it was Tic Tac Toe with Tic Tacs to mark their spot.

On Valentines morning they woke up to a Valentine's breakfast from mom. I made heart shape french toast and heart shape ciche that both turned pink on us.

Cupid left the girls a little surprise on the treadmill.

Allie asked for a home lunch the night before and so it was fun to create a little Valentine lunch for her. I also made one for Aubrie and Justin at the same time so it made lunch time simple and more time to play.

For the last surprise they got a treat tray. I have done this with my regular muffin tin but it has 12 slots which is way to many. We also like to put fruit in the tins and build our own fruit Kabobs or make smoothies. So I found these tins at the dollar store. It is great and we have used it so many times for afterschool snacks and lunches.

One thing I have notice in the past that I am trying to change is that I always spend so much time of the day cooking on the holiday that I don't really play so I decide to try to keep things simple especially since Justin was at school all day. So for dinner we opted for Pizza, Salad, and a Shebert drink. One of the girls favorite thing for Valentine's dinner is  candlelights. I started this a couple of years ago. Justin has been at work or school for several Valentine's so I am glad the girls enjoy making the day special with me. We had a great dinner and then we played Valentine's Bingo.

And the loves goes on.....

I haven't had a chance to post about our Valentine's so here goes to get us current.

A box of Lucky Charms that said, "I am "Lucky" to be your mom!"

I gave them a bag of Justin's trail mix that he makes. The girls loves them but Justin doesn't always like to share so it was a perfect treat for them. The note read, "I'm Nuts about you."

This was a great treat for the girls. They got 30 minutes of free time on the Wii. One of the nights when Justin was at school late we had our Wii night. It was fun and I even joined in for the fun.

I love how creative my girls are. I gave them a Bingo card that said "B - I - N - G - O, I love you so! So when it came time to play I was going to just pick out the numbers and they said let's get the dice and roll them like we do for math homework. Allie rolls two or three dice and then does multiplication. Aubrie adds or substracts them. It is just a great way for them to do keep on their math skills. It was a lot of fun to play. Sure wish I would remember to take pictures while we are playing.

They got a bag of gummy bears that said, "I love you "Beary" much!

They got movie admission to a movie night that said, "Pop on over to the show". I orginally planned to attached it to popcorn and let them choose the movie but we were with Justin's family the night before they got this and their cousin came them a bag of popcorn for Valentine's so I decided that could work for the movie night. Also Justin borrowed "Rio" from his sister and wanted to watch it so I figure we would kill two birds with one stone!

They got glow sticks that said, "You make my heart "glow"."

Just two more days til Valentine's. The day of love. I am so gratefuls for my three girls! They bring me so much joy. I can't comprehend what my life would be like without them. Heavenly Father has given me such a gift to be able to be their mom.

TaylieJo's favorite place to hang out!

Taylie has found her favorite place in the house. She loves to pound on the tub. She doesn't necessary love to get in the tub but just loves to stand there. She watched Aubrie take a bath the other day while I was putting my makeup on and Aubrie started splashing the water around. She laughed and laughed. I love that she is starting to laugh hard.

The love continues...

On our countdown to Valentine's Day continues.....

On Saturday the girls got a pen that said, "You are just "WRITE" for me."

Sunday morning they got a pack of gum that said "I "Chews" you to be my Valentine." The girls were super excited because we don't buy bubble gum tape very often and they love it.

Teddy Bear Picnic

Aubrie had her kindergarten Teddy Bear Picnic on friday. She asked if it would be ok if her dad went with her since he doesn't have school on friday. Justin had to take a test but made it home in time to go with Aubrie. I am so grateful that Justin loves his girls and wants to be apart of them. They are very lucky to have such a great dad!!!
Aubrie with her class!

Crackers and Cheese

Today they got Crackers and Cheese with the saying "Cheese and Crackers, Crackers and Cheese I am so glad you belong to me".

You are the Apple of my eye!

I decided to give the girls a little surprise each day with the I love you because board. Today they got some apple juice saying "You are the Apple of my eye". The girls were pretty excited to see they get a little treat each day with their board. I love my girls!!!!

Love is in the Air

I found some fun things to do on pinterest with the girls for Valentines. Today they came home to our little Valentine shelf.

Each day I get to write the girls a message saying I love you because.....

The next thing we are doing is our Love Bucket. I cut, well my circut cut, a bunch of hearts. When someone has done something nice for you then you get to write it down on one of the hearts and then hang it up down the hall. It is called our hallway of love. On Valentine's day during our candlelight dinner we will get to read all the love that we have shared the last fourteen days! Sure hope this can increase a little love in the house.

I didn't make Taylie one thinking she can't read or understand but I love her because she makes me smile!
