Taylie learns to Crawl

Taylie started crawling between five and six months. She first did the army crawl and about six half months she started to go on her knees. It always amazes me how you don't do anything and they can learn do what they need to.

A new Christmas Tradition

This year I found a new Christmas Tradition that was such a hit. On pinterest it showed of someone who wrapped 24 books and each night read a Christmas Story. I went to the library and got several books and the few that we had and wrapped them. We put them under the girl's little Christmas tree that is in their room. Before we could open the book we would guess what it was about. It was such a fun tradition I hope to carry on for several years. I hope it is one that I give to my grandkids. It was that great. It was just so fun to reconnect each night with the girls during the season. Aubrie opening the first book. Even Taylie was awake to join us most nights.

Thanksgiving with the Ostlers

We were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family this year. I am thankful for my three sisters and their families. Since my mom died and my dad is in California, I am so grateful that my sisters and I still want to meet together for holidays. We ate dinner, watch the cousins do a play and played pictionary. Ellee and Allie. These two girls are great friends. Cousins Jag and Sam Aubrie and Sam Justin,Tyler and Brett Allie shared the ABC's of thanksgiving that she got from school with her cousins so that they could do a little program for us. They had to practice a few times and had a lot of fun with it.

TaylieJo's Half Birthday

We celebrated Taylie's half birthday on November 23rd. Wow how time flies. We bought some cupcakes to eat for her birthday. She got to play with the package. It won't be long before she will get her own to eat!

Thanksgiving Program

Allie had a Thanksgiving program for school. She was the first narrator and opened the show for her class. She was so excited and kept telling us how nervous she was. She is so cute and memorized her part. She is a great kid!!

Christmas Candy Advent

The Tranchells have a tradition to make Christmas Candy Advent Calendars. After Sunday dinner Papa and Maama invited us to make our Calendars. Digga and B were with us. We had lots of fun making our calendars. Papa and Digga. Happy B. Aubrie and Maama. Allie and Daddy. Aubrie's Countdown. Allie's Countdown.

Reflections

I think I posted earlier about Allie wanting to do the Reflections contest this year. I hate doing things like this because of my own insecurities and not knowing exactly what to do. But I gave in and told Allie and Aubrie they could. Well Aubrie took first place in her age and category. She was so surprised when they called her name. I was worried about Allie but she was such a good sister like she always is and was happy for her sister. Aubrie sitting with the winners. Each winner got some construction paper, a medal, crayons and a free ticket to the Hale Center.

Christmas Photos

I wanted to take pictures of the girls to make a Christmas card. I need to learn photo shop and how to take pictures. The girls were so great to try to cooperate but taking pictures with three is a lot harder then two. I saw an idea that you can use wrapping paper for a background while taking pictures. I think it would be great if I didn't live in a basement. Our lighting is not so great or it could be that I hate reading the instructions to my camera. I also used the back of couch for the background. Justin was a lot of help that day. I tried and I tried to get a picture of Taylie. She was moving all over and her sitting up ability had not been completely accomplished. She could sit for seconds and if she was on her tummy she was crawling towards the camera. Justin painted the girls toes for me. I love that he is so willing to help with girly things. I am so not girly. I want to be but wearing a t-shirt and jeans with running shoes is my style. I was blessed with girls to help me I am sure. .

Raking Leaves with Papa

One Saturday in November, we went over to "HELP" Papa rake leaves. I think we made more of a mess then actually helped. TaylieJo all bundled up to help! The girls playing in the leaves.

Macey's Grocery Store

We went shopping one saturday to one of my favorite grocery stores. They were having a party in the store and while I shopped the girls got their face painted, balloons and samples throughout the store. The girls thought grocery shopping was actually fun today.

Avoiding what needs to be done

Justin told me that he needed to study this fall break. So I was trying to be very considerate of his time so that he could study. I asked him to stop at Home Depot on his way home from work and that was where I made the mistake. There is something in that man's blood that has to build. We have talked for a while about building a bike rack. I have wanted to buy a metal one but we haven't chose to budget for it yet so Justin decided to build us one.

Bed time

The girls were waiting for me to tell them a story. The girls love to take Taylie and pretend that she is there baby. Sometimes it is a great thing and other times I have to remind them she is not a toy.

Nebo Loop

We drove around Nebo Loop last Saturday night to see the leaves. I am always amazed at the beautiful world we live in. The mountains always amaze me and how they are so big and majestic. The colors of the leaves were amazing.

TaylieJo

How do they grow so fast. Taylie has started moving. She rolls her self all around. She has started to put her knees up under her it won't be long I am sure. We pulled out the piano saucer. She loves it but doesn't like to be in it very long. But she has a lot of fun in it.

Fall Break!!

Friday we decided to take a bike ride up Provo Canyon. Justin met us at the Park-n-Ride at the base of the Canyon. I had to pull Taylie since Justin was on his road bike. I am grateful she is small. It was a lot of fun. It was a lot cooler then the 4th of July. I truly love being together as a family!!

LEAVES

Aubrie wanted to rake the leaves today so she could jump in them. We don't have a rake at the apartment as all of our yard tools are at the home we own for are renters to use. So we used the "LAW of SUBSTITUTION AND CREATIVITY". I love that I was taught as a child that there are other ways of doing things. So we used our snow shovel and broom. Aubrie covered herself up and said "Look, Mom I am a Mermaid." Taylie loved it too. Happy Fall Y'all.

General Conference Weekend

We had a fun general conference weekend. I saw this super cute idea on sugar doodle for kids for conference. When the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles or the First Presidency speaks the girls get to open a bag. Each bag has a picture of one of the Apostles or the First Presidency and an activity or treat to do during their talk. I also made BINGO cards which we do most years and a new Conference book. After conference we use it as a book they can take to church to use during Sacrament Meeting. Justin had to work all day Saturday so we woke up Saturday morning ate breakfast, showered and went for a bike ride before the first session. After the first session we invited the neighbor boys over and played T-ball, Football and soccer and played at our park. We had to balance out our treats we had. While Justin went to the priesthood session we made our Conference Cinnamon Rolls. We decided this year instead of rolling it out that we make little balls and put them into cupcake pans like mini pull aparts. It worked so well we will probably do it again next year. We went over for breakfast to Papa and Maama's on Sunday morning which has become a tradition for us. We decided to come home to watch conference though. During the sessions we took a bike ride up to the catch basin. Allie wants to enter the Reflection contest at school so we took some pictures of the leaves. The theme for the Reflection contest is Diversity Means..... This is really simpilar to the photo she chose. Allie took a picture of the catch basin I thought it turned out amazing so I posted the picture.
