General Conference Weekend
We had a fun general conference weekend. I saw this super cute idea on sugar doodle for kids for conference.
When the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles or the First Presidency speaks the girls get to open a bag. Each bag has a picture of one of the Apostles or the First Presidency and an activity or treat to do during their talk. I also made BINGO cards which we do most years and a new Conference book. After conference we use it as a book they can take to church to use during Sacrament Meeting. Justin had to work all day Saturday so we woke up Saturday morning ate breakfast, showered and went for a bike ride before the first session. After the first session we invited the neighbor boys over and played T-ball, Football and soccer and played at our park. We had to balance out our treats we had. While Justin went to the priesthood session we made our Conference Cinnamon Rolls.
We decided this year instead of rolling it out that we make little balls and put them into cupcake pans like mini pull aparts.
It worked so well we will probably do it again next year. We went over for breakfast to Papa and Maama's on Sunday morning which has become a tradition for us. We decided to come home to watch conference though. During the sessions we took a bike ride up to the catch basin.
Allie wants to enter the Reflection contest at school so we took some pictures of the leaves. The theme for the Reflection contest is Diversity Means..... This is really simpilar to the photo she chose.
Allie took a picture of the catch basin I thought it turned out amazing so I posted the picture.
