The finish line.....

Are you tired yet? I think it will be a while before I take pictures or at least I am going to stay caught up on blogging. It feels great to finish something though. After Easter weekend it was Spring Break. I took off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to be with my girls. It was cloudy and cold most of the time. Monday we spent at Aunt Tine's getting my hair colored, Tuesday we spent at Lisa's working. So on Wednesday we decided we better go do something fun. We decided to go to the Bean Museum at BYU and then had a picnic with Dad at his school.

The home stretch

Easter was one of my grandma's(Ardith Ellen as we call her) favorite holiday. Which was past down to my mom's favorite holiday which causes my sister's and I to love this holiday too. Lisa chose to carry on this tradition. My mom would get a basket of some kind for each of us and would hide it in the house and we would have to find it. My grandma had a chocolate bunny for each of us and would hide it in her house. You could not tell another person's where their basket was but you could look as long as you wanted. Usually though as soon as you found your's you would stop and check out what was in your basket. My mom tried to hide the boys baskets the hardest. She loved to tease, especially Taun. One year my mom had a bucket full of flour. She empty the flour in lots of pot, pans and bowls. She hid Taun's basket in the flour bucket. No one knew that she had done this. Taun had to search forever. It was so fun. I didn't get any pictures of our bags with candy so I'll to get some from Karalee's blog. This year for Easter, Lisa decided to play BINGO which was one of my mom's favorite games that was always played at family reunions. She had her windowsill full of prizes. It was awesome and so much fun!!!! Playing BINGO... I decided I am going to be a great Senior Citizen at Bingo night. This is what I won.... with a little help from Aubrie (who wanted the big pumpkin) and Allie who got the (ladybugs). Because of my flash and the sun light you can't see great pictures but my sister has a great Etsy Store if you need any holiday stuff, she sends all around the world!

My marathon is almost done.....

We went back home to find that the Easter bunny had come. The Easter bunny always leaves clues for the girls to find their basket. This year the Easter bunny left a sign that told them they were growing so big so the he was only leaving one clue. Your basket would be in the kitchen or the livingroom. It was perfect for the whirlwind of weekends. Allie also wanted to write the Easter bunny a note and ask if he liked hiding baskets. It was really cute. Aubrie asked if she could leave a carrot. I love how their imaginations work and that they love holidays.

Another day done......

Easter morning was spent at the Tranchell Sunrise Service. In 12 years of marriage I have never attended one but have always heard about it.I was glad to attend and hope to make it a tradition for years to come. Hope I get the story right, but Pat and Dave used to get the kids up early on Easter morning and watch the sun rise, sing songs and read scriptures about Jesus and the resurrection. It was a great tradition that Justin remembers well. This year we went over at 7:30. There was a fresh blanket of snow on the ground. It was amazing to feel the spirit while we sang, I wonder when he comes again. I wonder when he comes again will herald angels sings Will the earth be white with drifted snow or will the world know Spring? What a great tradition... Here is some pictures of the morning.

The Race is on.....

As if the great two days with the Tranchells weren't enough excitement for the girls, I had to fulfill my Conference Tradition. Every year while Justin goes to General Priesthood Session, the girls and I make Cinnamon Rolls. Each year gets better. This year Allie and Aubrie were so good at measuring and rolling out the dough. It was a lot of fun. Aubrie not sure about cracking eggs! Allie measuring so well! Rolling out dough. Sprinkle Cinnamon and Sugar We had a surprise from Aunt Laralynn who came to cook some brownies since her oven was broken. Laralynn played Chutes and Ladders with the girls while the brownies were cooking. When dad got home we did a quick egg decorating and off to bed so the Easter Bunny could come!

Are we there yet?

Nope, Still haven't finished blogging about Easter...... Since we were taking family photos on Saturday with Justin's family, the girls got to wear their new Easter outfits. Allie Aubrie When I think of my girls, I always think of the song from White Christmas that says, "Sisters, Sister there were never such devoted sisters" "Caring, Sharing, Every little thing that we are wearing." "Those who've Seen us Know that not a thing could come between us."

Marathon continues......

You can run a marathon one step at a time. You can also catch up on your blogging one day at a time. After the campout, we went over to Papa and Maama's that afternoon for an Easter Egg hunt, picnic and family pictures. Fabulous BBQ Chicken. Thanks Papa! Easter Eggs waiting to be found! Each grandchild had their own color of egg and each egg had a little treat in them. They all ended up with a huge basket full of eggs. Aunt Tine bought each of the kids their own set of Bunny Ears to wear during the Easter Egg Hunt. Here comes Peter Cottontail hoppy down the bunny trail. Or at least the Tranchell Grandkids....... Aubrie collecting her eggs Maama filled eggs (without the yolk in them) with confetti. The girls thought it was so fun because they could squeeze them in their hands and confetti went everywhere.
