Happy Birthday to Aubrie
Aubrie turned 6 today. This morning she got a surprise visit from Papa and Maama would brought her this fun sign and balloons.
We made omlets and turkey sausage for breakfast. She loves omlets.
Aubrie ready for school. In her class they have a birthday bag that they get to fill with things about them. She took an umbrella, a toy bike, her Disney pins from her vacation to Disneyland and her coloring book that we made about her.
This was the little treat bag we made her class. There was a bag of jolly ranchers, a coloring book called "All about Aubrie" and some homemade crayons. I saw this on a website and decided to try it. You take broken crayons and put them in a cupcake mold and melt them in the oven and then take them out and let them cool. All the colors mix together making it look really cool and it uses all your broken up crayons.
For weeks now, Aubrie asked if I would take her to lunch on her birthday. We had to take Allie to the orthodontist in the morning (where Allie and Aubrie got Birthday Balloons and free Ice Cream from Dairy Queen from the Orthodontist and then I had to run to a store and by the time I looked at the clock we would have just enough time to go in and eat. Then Miss Taylie decided to wake up and started to scream. So I told Aubrie that we would have to go through the drive through and eat at home so I could feed Taylie. Even thought it wasn't quite what she wanted she still had a great lunch from Wendy's.
Aubrie so excited about opening up presents. Aubrie opening the birthday card from Grandpa in California. She was so excited!!! She was super excited because Grandpa required a confirmation that we got it and we weren't here to sign for it so she got to pick it up from the Post Office. It was a really cool part of the day.
Opening a birthday card from Grams with a Gold Coin.
Papa made her a really cool art supply holder and an umbrella that was a hit!!
We went to a wedding this summer and Aubrie saw the layered cakes and asked if she could have a layered cake for her birthday. After discussion about her cake we decided to a make a 6 layer cake. Each layer symbolized something about her. The top layer was pink with sparkles because that is her favorite color. The next layer was Jolly Ranchers because that is her favorite treat. Next was Banana's because Aubrie LOVES bananas. The fourth layer was soccer because she is playing soccer again this year. The fifth layer a road with a bike because she loves to bike to the end of the trail. The sixth layer was pirates because she loves to watch Jake and the Neverland Pirates on the Disney Channel.
For dinner she wanted Daddy to make her his famous BBQ chicken Pizza. But with Daddy's busy schedule she settle for Chicken Pizza from Papa Murphy's.
