FRACTURED or Not FRACTURED? that is the question!

On May 14th, we had just finished planting our garden behind mom's house. Justin had drove the truck and the girls and I had rode our bike to mom's house. Aubrie was on her Dora bike which still had training wheels because it was too tall to start by herself. Aubrie took off pretty fast, I could tell she was going to fast and told her to slow down she turned around and just kept turning until she fell. She fell really hard on the pavement. I could tell she was really hurt. Usually the girls, will jump up pretty quick if they are not hurt but she couldn't stop crying. We got home and I put her in Allie's sling. We got her ready for bed and decided to wait it out til morning. Around 2:00 a.m. she woke up just screaming. I went out to check on her and her arm was laying straight. Once I put her arm back up and propped it back on the pillow she slept the rest of the night. We took her to the doctor in the morning. He could tell it wasn't broken but it was possibly a fracture. He couldn't tell at first because it was on her growth plate. They decided to cast it and told us to come back in a week. She chose a red cast. The next morning was Saturday, her hand was swollen and very red. She complained about it hurting. We had to take her to the Instacare where they cut it. They wouldn't recast it there because we had to go back to the main doctor so Monday we went again to have it cast. This time she picked pink because Allie insisted that she have a pink cast since that was the color of her cast. We were told to come back in a week. After a week, the doctor could tell that it was a fracture. He also said that it was healing well but wanted to be safe so Aubrie chose purple. (She really wanted blue but mom made her choose between pink and purple) So three cast later, Aubrie rides her Dora bike now with no training wheels. Last week she rode her bike from our house to the Mapleton park and back. It is about 6 miles round trip!
